Mermaiding is meant to be a fun and exciting experience. My first priority is your safety. I also hold the following safety certifications to put your mind at ease:
Emergency First Response Instructor (CPR and First Aid)
DAN Diving First Aid for Professionals
Emergency Oxygen Provider Instructor Trainer
Each mermaid course is designed with you in mind. I am certified in using adaptive techniques, which means if something doesn't work for you, I can alter it to accommodate. My goal is for you to succeed and achieve your mer dreams. You will get coaching for skill performance as well as helpful tips and tricks of the trade during your courses. Videos and photos are part of the experience*.

My human name is Jen and this is the start of my mer journey:
I took my first breath underwater in 2011. It was an immediate obsession. I worked through my scuba certifications and eventually went pro. Sharing my passion for the underwater world opens up the other 71% of the planet for everyone I teach. I want to create a safe and exciting learning environment for my students.
But what about mermaids? On a dive trip in the Bahamas, a mermaid tail was left on the boat from the prior week's adventure. Every time I geared up to get in the water, I would glance at it, longingly. We were given the opportunity to try it out. I did not take that opportunity and I have regretted it ever since. I thought that I didn't have the right shape for a mermaid. I don't want that same experience for any mer!
When PADI announced the new Mermaid program, I was immediately on board. I booked my trip to Cozumel to get certified and have never looked back. I want to create a place where all mers of every shape and size feel confident in their human skin as well as their mer skin. I want them to feel empowered to make a difference in the fight to save the oceans.
